Microneedling

We have been proudly offering Microneedling since 2022, using Rejuvapen (and yes, I’ve had it done to myself, with exosomes for my alopecia). We use Rejuvapen because it allows the greatest customization of treatment protocols. Microneedling is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that involves puncturing the skin with fine needles to stimulate collagen production in the dermal layer of the skin, helping your skin from bottom up. It is NOT a one and done procedure and depending on the underlying condition being addressed you may need three to six treatments, every 3-4 weeks for an optimal outcome. AND in order to maintain your results and all the money you’ve invested in yourself, you’ll need one treatment every 4-9 months (It ends up being a lot cheaper than a face lift, and face lift doesn’t improve the skin quality). Obtaining optimal results depends on proper technique and STAMPING is how we do it here at La Femme Health & beauty. When the needle is pulled across the skin as opposed to stamping (as is done by inexperienced practitioners), it’ll lead to a lot more superficial injury to the skin and more bleeding, DO NOT BE FOOLED, more bleeding means worse technique not better outcome. Microneedling can also be combined with exosomes and PRP/PRF (platelet rich plasma or fraction) to enhance your results beyond just the microneedling (and yes, we offer both Exosomes and PRP/PRF).

Microneedling is primarily for skin rejuvenation and treating various dermatological concerns. Here are the top 5 applications:

  1. Anti-Aging: Microneedling can help reduce fine lines, wrinkles, and improve skin texture, making it look more youthful.

2.Acne Scars: It’s effective in reducing the appearance of acne scars by promoting collagen remodeling and improving skin texture.

  1. Hyperpigmentation: Microneedling can help reduce hyperpigmentation, such as sunspots or melasma, by promoting even skin tone.

  1. Stretch Marks: It can improve the appearance of stretch marks by stimulating collagen production and thickening the skin in affected areas.

  1. Hair Loss: Microneedling can also be used to promote hair growth by stimulating blood circulation and enhancing the absorption of topical hair growth products.

  1. Skin Laxity: Microneedling, specially using Rejuvapen, can be used to reduce skin laxity by promoting collagen remodeling, production, and skin thickening.

  1. Reduce pore size

  1. Restore a more even skin tone

Potential benefits include improved skin texture, tone, and firmness, reduced appearance of scars and stretch marks, and increased effectiveness of topical skincare products. However, potential complications may include temporary redness, swelling, bruising, and skin sensitivity. In rare cases, infection, scarring, or pigment changes may occur, especially if the procedure is not performed by a trained professional or if proper aftercare is not followed. Always consult with a skincare professional before undergoing microneedling.

In our office we have used it for all the above indications with great results.

How is Rejuvapen microneedling procedure performed: treatment begins by applying local anesthetic cream to area for more comfortable experience. Once the area is numb the procedure begins (when I had mine done on my scalp with exosomes, I actually fell asleep lol).

What should you expect after the procedure:

Your skin may feel like you had a sunburn for a few days. It is important to follow the post procedure care instruction given for optimal outcome and minimize your recovery time. Initially you may notice a glow and improvement immediately, which subsides as time goes by, do not be alarmed; because your cells are slow to react the actual improvement will take 4-8 wks to notice.
